Course Highlights

* PLEASE NOTE THE RATES INCLUDE MANDATORY RIDING CARTS. This western WI course across the river from Stillwater probably has more elevation change than any other course in the Twin Cities! This provides both dramatic views and a stout challenge along with the numerous full grown trees and deep rough. Although a couple holes are overly challenging, the course overall is more dynamic and interesting to play than some sites that have minimal features. Greens that used to be extremely fast are now moderately fast and a good match with the level of undulation. St Croix National is also creating one of the nicest indoor hitting bays anywhere and is scheduled to open Fall 2019.

Sand traps and tee boxes could be little better condition but fairways were OK and greens were in good condition which we felt was most important.

Playability

Large number of blind shots. Lots of privacy on holes with little risk of getting hit by errant shots from other golfers. A couple holes have less balanced play but overall a good variety.

Visual Impact

Lots of visual appeal from incredible elevation changes and very large number of mature trees. Some sand traps are transitioning to grass areas. Many trees have been removed over last couple years to improve sight-lines.

Other Considerations:

Lots of improvements underway or coming soon including the very nice hitting bays with HD extra large screens. Additional clubhouse remodels coming soon even though current facility is modern.

Staff was very nice and seemed to know most of the locals by name.

Full bar with burgers,hotdogs, pizza, and a few other items avail.

Full driving range and practice greens.
