Course Highlights
This is a good example why Golf Lemonade exists. This course was not initially on our radar or in the top lists published by other major golf media. A couple locals mentioned this place used to be in bad shape and has improved but take that as you will and read our comments :) We found most of the playing surfaces to be in excellent condition. The greens seemed to roll very solidly and looked great overall. Most of the tee boxes and most of the fairways were also in excellent shape. Some of the rough areas were indeed a little rough and this is one area some people may be critical in. The course overall had some very interesting designs including plentiful mounding around most greens. The clubhouse is full service and includes a popular breakfast special with an early 9 hole tee time. Full length driving range.
Condition*
8.6
Greens were in great condition, most fairways great condition with a few exceptions, most tee boxes excellent, hazards and other good shape, some rough in bad shape. Overall the majority of playing surfaces were very good.
Playability
8.4
Interesting hole designs, fun undulations around greens, good risk/rewards and tee box selections. Very moderate forced carries. Some housing and hotels around the course but only a couple holes felt tight. A few shots on the blind side.
Visual Impact
8.4
Fair amount of water, trees, sand, and mounding to provide interesting and mixed visual appeal although they are not excessive. Some housing and buildings detract visually on a few holes but better than many Arizona courses.
