Course Highlights
Updated 5/16/22. Full disclosure: We host our annual charity golf tournament here (BirdieforBrecken.com) but for good reason. This is one of the top tier golf courses in the Twin Cities combined with very friendly and helpful staff. New owner in 2022 but course expected to remain public with rates similar to previous. Many bunkers currently under renovation (Troy Burne has over 120 of them!) and a few tee boxes scheduled for re-leveling in the fall. This course has a great mix of links type holes and parkland with trees and water. Higher handicap players are given a little bit of chance with wider fairways but the experienced golfer will have many risk-reward decisions to make. Course always seems to be in great shape aside from a few tee boxes that need a bit of leveling as noted earlier. New golf carts have GPS and extra cushy seats. Very nice large clubhouse with full menu and bar.
Condition*
8.9
Sand traps very good, tee boxes good, fairways and greens excellent. Overall course is kept in very good condition and a pleasure to play on. Absolutely feels premium.
Playability
9.1
One of TB's biggest strengths is the balance of the course. Lots of variety and no gimmicky holes. Challenging to shoot low but reasonable for less experienced players. Fun to play.
Visual Impact
9.1
Lots of bunkers, and good mix of trees, water, elevation, and prairie. These combined with very good maintenance make for a great visual treat.
